This Privacy Policy describes how Vegas Grocery Deals (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit vegasgrocerydeals.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect
- Standard server logs — IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamps, and pages requested. Used to operate the Site, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
- Cookies — small files stored in your browser. We use:
- Click analytics cookies — when you click out to a merchant, the first-party
vgd_sessioncookie assigns a random browser ID for up to one year so repeated outbound product clicks can be grouped without storing your name, email, or IP address on the click event.
- Click analytics cookies — when you click out to a merchant, the first-party
- Click events — when you click on a product, we record the click (item, store, referrer, user agent, timestamp, and
vgd_sessionbrowser ID) so we can measure which product links are useful and detect bot traffic. We do not record your IP address, name, or email with these click events.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To understand which outbound product links help users.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Third parties
The Site uses third-party services that may collect information about you:
- Destination stores — when you click through to a covered retailer, that retailer's site applies its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies.
- Analytics and monitoring — we use analytics and error-monitoring tools to understand traffic patterns, diagnose crashes, and protect the Site from abuse.
Revenue
The Site currently earns no revenue from ads, product clicks, store links, retailers, or paid placements. Organic listings use catalog signals like price, savings, freshness, store, and category.
Your choices
- Block cookies in your browser. Note that outbound click analytics rely on cookies and won't group repeat visits if you block all of them.
- EEA, UK, and California residents. The Site is operated for the Las Vegas market and does not currently display a consent management banner. If you require GDPR or CCPA controls, please use your browser's tracking-protection settings or contact us.
Data retention
Server logs are retained for 30 days for operational purposes. Click-tracking events are retained indefinitely in aggregate (without IP) to inform site improvements. Cookies on your device are retained per the lifetime described in your browser's cookie inspector — typically 30 days to 1 year.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the Site for at least 7 days before taking effect.
